Surf riding in Ga.

Looking to see if anyone knows of a jetski friendly place for my first trip to the ocean:Banane01:.I have been wanting to go to the coast for a while now and would like to get some input for the trip.
I would like to find somewhere along the Ga coast line if possible (weekend trip).

Ga does not have alot of coastline (maybe 120 miles or so). I'm near Savannah, and we ride at Tybee Island, GA. Shoot me a PM when you know when you are coming.

What are he rules for Tybee? I'm guessing you launch in the back and go around to somewhere? Can you ride near any of the beach areas?

I read on their site that you could not go within 1000 ft from the shore. ?

You can't drive or launch on the beach. There is a river inlet at the south end where we launch. Its about a 300-500 years to the break. We ride where the white sandbars are at on this map, just south of Tybee.

We just don't get the surf you guys to in north east to mid Florida. It is usually about 2ft smaller here for some reason.... We are going to Jacksonville this Sunday to ride...... :smile:

We don't ride the front beach, moreso at the mouth of the river. See map.

It's not that bad... it could be like the Gulf coast, where there's NO surf at all.
