After visiting the only life size replica of the Parthenon in of all places NASHVILLE(I'm not kidding it was 10 miles from the race site, I asked Ratti and Autumn to go check it out with me, glad we went). I think Posieden and Neptune were telling me<<<<<<<<<get off the flat-water crack binge and get back to mother ocean!!!!!!!!!! Yeah I could use a good surf day. I might be in if I can get over this 110 degree temp. and coughing and hacking!!! Being sick all weekend in Nashville really sucked!! Salt water rules!!!!!

I might could hit it Saturday or maybe after work on Friday. It's almost like hurricane surf without the hurricane. Very nice.

i just went out and checked my local spot..shoulder to head high and barreling with no one out..slight offshores..BUT im stuck at work till 4pm and it will probably be blown by then

actually we get less swell here on this 30 mile strech than anywhere else in ca, Point Conception blocks alot of the NW swell and the Channel Islands block all the south swell..but we have the best surf spots in ca beacuse the lack of swell over the years hasnt erroded all the point breaks away..it donst get good here as often but when it does it it INSANE!..yea i shoulda brought the camera down..its sitting on my desk..

OMG.... you have a really small swell window... looking at google maps, it shows Santa Barbara facing south east... I never would have thought that it was that blocked... Do you go up toward Arroyo Burro and catch west swells?? damn....
that's the one thing we do have going for us here in central florida, a big swell window...

i surf mostly in goleta..north of sb...it gets w swell really well but if its too n we miss it..no south at all..drive a 1/2 either way and it wideopen..thats why i ride in oxnard with oxnard111 or uop north with those guys

X2 bro, welcome. I guess I never formally met ya at Nationals, but I stood there BSing w/ you and Ratti and the rest of us at the awards deal Sat. night. Awesome of you to hook Ratti up w/ the ski and it was cool to see you ride out of surf (I know your a surf junkie) and I wont get to see ya on flatwater again any time soon though LOL.
