This is going to be a long post so sorry but I really need someone’s help
I have a 1994 snsj with a bone stock 61x and a b pipe with single cooling I have been riding it for a couple weeks now that the seasons coming to an end and it’s been acting up lately. I was riding around and noticed that it would skip really bad on mid to top end almost like one cylinder was firing every other stroke so I figured I just mixed the gas a little rich and didn’t think much about it. Later that same day the small 1/8 fitting that was blocked off by a rubber cap on the front of the head popped off and the ski wouldn’t run at all so I drug it back to the beach and pulled the plugs and noticed that the small dot near the electrode was broken off flush with where it starts so I threw some new plugs in it and went back out riding. Ever since then the ski won’t run at wot. It will run fine at wot for about 4-5 sec then it will just bog down to about 3/4 throttle for a couple seconds then it will rip back to wot again. Also when blipping the throttle wide open and coming out of the water several times in a row the ski just bogs down to about half throttle and sometimes shuts off (I haven’t changed the carb adjustments yet they are still the same as when the ski was running perfect) so I’ve been wrenching on this ski for about a week trying to tune it and it just acts lean on the top end so I went out on the high speed screw an 1/8th turn and tested and repeated this process till the screw was 3 1/2 turns out and as I recall from the mikuni book the screw has no adjustment past 3 turns. The ski still bogs down on the top end. And just today, i went back out for my trial and error tuning and the ski wouldn’t crank so I pulled it out and noticed the far right vent was almost broken off and the only way I would get fuel to the carbs to get it cranked was by pressurizing the tank by blowing into that vent. I don’t know if this could have caused the problem or not but I’m just looking for any suggestions to get her back out on the water soon.
this is my first time posting here so sorry if I posted in the wrong place I’m a bit new to forums
