I just got back from the lake and can't figure this out.I have a 61x lpw 701 that I just broke in and when i do tail stands it will bog down when you give it gas it does nothing. You can get level and its fine.It will accellerate great.

I have a new b pipe as well that I thought maybe to much water was going into the chamber and running back to the mani, but this is the first b pipe so I dont know. The other thing is the pipe is not hot.I have the top open maybe half a turn and the others closed and you can touch the pipe and mani without any problem.
I dont have a any restrictions going into the stinger but the duel cooling line are run as Paul stated.

I,m new to the tuning part on this so any help will be appreciated.

Dual exhaust sounds like the answer to your prob...I have dual exhaust and do tailstabs all the time and have never had a problem

It's tuning, you're probably rich already, and when you go nose up it richens you even more to the point of bogging/flooding.

I doubt it is anything to do with the exhaust and more to do with carb tuning. I have had this probem before.

I havent touched the carb.Paul re jetted it and set the screws.I,m sure its slightly off ,but I didnt want to do anything until I ask someone else.

I dont understand why the pipe doesnt get hot enough.
Any help is appreciated,
Scott

The pipe isn't getting hot enough because you have too much water going into it, and possibly also from running very rich which won't have as big of an effect but some.

Set the bottom adjuster to 1/8 turn open, and leave it just as a safety, then adjust the top screw as needed.

Also, what's your cooling setup? If you have dual cooling but only 1 outlet, you'll have higher pressure in your headpipe than normal and will need the top adjuster open less than others would.

id call or pm paul/lpw if he built the motor and told you how to set it up.the engine builder that ported your engine can usually get you where you need to be.some of the guys on the board give answers to question and there still trying to figure out there on skis or running stock boats and giving advice more on what they read then what they do.
