Well first time out this season I couldnt get it up.
I couldnt get it all there so I called up the guy at the shop and he gave me a jetting reccomendation. I put the jets in and...same thing. Then someone mentioned I should change the prop. Doy, I had a 701 prop on a 650 motor, that makes sense. So I swap out the prop, same thing. It feels like its running wayyy rich, and is loading up on the top end, I could bunny hop it out of the water, and it would rip. So I figured one of three things. Pipe getting wayy too much water, or jetting is way rich, or prop is too steep, but I already changed the prop. Well summer is nearing an end and I started class and with work I didnt have anytime to pull the parts and work on it, so I dropped it off the shop and told him my thoughts. Well well well, the jetting he reccomended me was for a 701. Ooops. So I told him to check that first. I get a call today from him telling me he re-jetted the carberator, but it was running really rough, he checked the compression and it was 210, TWO, ONE, ZERO, in both cylinders. Holy ********, I'm only running pump gas. I thoguht the head was only giving me 150. Time to get a new compression gauge. So I told him to put a stock head on and go from there. Compression is back at 150 now, and he said its running smooth and revving up nicely. So all I have to do is water test it this week, then I will have a ski ready for FSF! (Only three weeks away!) :beerchug:
So...wish me luck.
