Superjet rail caps

I got a hydroturf diamond cut sheet. I tried to make rail caps and having trouble with rear corners. Also a pain to get diamonds lined up straight from front to back. Realized I cut out from oem template at slight angle. Just too many variables to account for. Anyone know where I can buy just rail caps? 2008 red or white ones

Also noticed my airbox doesn't have pipe that is turned down in front. Do I need this ?

It helps avoid getting water down into your carbs. The part number is 62T-14419-00-00 . It's used on a bunch of different Yamahas. Someone here probably has one kicking around. I'd post in the Want To Buy section. They have a few on ebay but I think they are asking too much.

Thanks. Yea, I looked on ebay. Most of listings are whole box. I wonder if previous owner had an aftermarket part he wanted to keep. I only ride flat water, and not overly aggressive yet. Thanks for part number!

You have to use a heat gun and heat mold the turf for it to go around and conform to corners. Heat and shape, heat and shape. I use welding gloves and basic heat gun.

Thanks. I did use a heat gun. There is a crease of extra mat there. If you push it down on sides, it appears in back and vice versa. Should the heat actually shrink material? Or does it just make more moldable? I had to cut a seam and overlap. Not happy with first turf job, but do have extra. Was just reserving for bottom when it wears out

Actually it kinda stretches it out when you heat and form. When I cut the material I leave some extra and then trim afterwards. Yes you will have a small seam on the back rail cap corner. Just cut and butt and glue them together.
