Super Jet Superjet pole is crooked

I have a 2012 superjet and the pole nearly touches the hood on the right when it is down. How can I fix this as I don't want it to rub and take the paint off if it gets worse?

Make sure your hood sits right on the seal, not crooked. Loosen up the nut on one side and then adjust the pivot bolt from the other. There is not much play tho.. On a side note, if you ride some serious surf as all Australians do, I very much doubt you would worry about the paint :)..

do the above. but also loosen the 4 nuts that hold the pole bracket to the hull and move the pole as much as you can with the play in the bolts. then tighten it.

what penken said, also try to move the pole side to side when its down, it may not be an alignment prob but the pole ripping out of the aluminum base its mounted in. that epoxy and rivets only holds back against soo much abuse lol. you may catch it before it wrecks a cable or something. you can re epoxy and rivet it and wrap it in glass to make it last a llittle longer.
