ok, I pick up my superjet tommarrow!!! What I want to know is, this is my first yamaha, I have 3 seadoos, and I am wondering what general maintence do these require. For example on 2 of my doos, the pump oil in the jet pump needs changed every couple hours.. IS anything like this required on the superjet?

Every couple of hours? I had a couple Seadoos before, and I think that was required once per season.

Anyways....just put gas in it, lube the cables every now and then, put some marine grease into the midshaft bearing once a season, and that's it.

I'll cautiously say "yes.".
Also, there is a zerk fitting next to the rear carb - use that to grease the housing.

Pump Cone

where is no grease zerk in the pump cone, then are sealed with grease in them already. You are correct, some Seadoos have grease fittings in the pump cone. But Superjets are WAY better technology than any seacouch! :cool2:

I was talkin about a fitting for the bearing, not the cone.

So If I understand the mid shaft bearing has a greas fitting, and that should be greased every so often, pump cone is sealed grease, but should be checked at times.

All the new seadoos are packed grease now. My older 94's you had to change the pump oil and grease the pto flywheel, and shaft bearings. This is my first yamaha so I"m new to there set ups! Gotta say though I do love my seadoos, all though wouldn't mind having a gp1300r thats a bad machine too :hail:
