Superjet issues, air leak?

Been wrenching on my 07 sj the past couple of days and it has some issues. My ski wouldn't start this year when i pulled it out so i pulled the carbs off and gave them a good cleaning, took everything apart, rubber components, diaphrams and jets all look good and are cleaned. Cleaned internal filters on both carbs and cleaned fuel pump too. The ski only draws fuel when i choke the carbs with my hand then it either bogs out or has what seems like a runaway and revs up. Pulled the carbs off my brothers perferctly good running 09 sj (which is the exact same setup stock motor with a bpipe) and swapped them onto mine it is doing the exact same thing. So I eliminated the fuel issue. Im thinking air leak here, initially thought it was the carb base gasket so i got a fresh one, nope not the problem. Anyone have a similar issue? The ski ran great last year but was hard to start sometimes. Is there a sticky on a how to leakdown test somewhere? Havent been on the X in awhile. Any help or pointing me in the direction of some helpful threads is appreciated. I will continue to search the forums to see if I find anything.

Things to check.
Reeds that are not closing or a broken or missing reed pedal.
Fuel tank vent not allowing air into the tank like its stuck shut makes it difficult to draw fuel.
Pulse line to the carb could be cracked. Cracked fuel line allowing it to suck air.
Pickup inside the tank cracked or missing.
Check the easy items first.
Check compression too.

I looked at the rear crank seal to make sure it didnt pop out, the ski is a 2007 and the motor has never been apart or out of the ski so it is possible. I will go through the easy things on that list first and see if I can find anything, thanks guys
