Hey guy, new to the sport, totaly luv it. just bought a 2001 superjet, 785cc flattop, not to sure on specifics but its wicked fast. time for some cleaning!

uh yeah, that thing has some serious bolt ons. dry pipe, head, dual 44 or 46 carbs, total loss.

It looks like a race ski.

Was thinking of adding some rear sponsons, can't get it to stay connected in tight turns. Don't the longer hull extension keep my nose down in the water? And does anyone know tube size for water system? I need to get a copper T so I can hook up a flush system. I do not want to back flush.

why in the hell would not want to back flush??? it's only the best way to flush your ski and requires no modifications... In order to turn that thing tighter you will need front sponsons and get rid of those hull extensions... no good in the surf. as far as keeping the nose down... that's all the rider. You need to move your CG forward on the ski to keep the nose down.. that will come w/ experience

Already got front sponson. Bought riva quick connect flush kit and I like the t design better than the back flush. The ski is built for flatwater so I need to make a few adjustments. I didn't know the hull extensions were bad for wave riding, ill have to look at gettin them off

X race ski, has some good freestyle potential though assuming that's the direction you want to take. Those front sponsons are alright, but if you want it to hook up in the corners look into some tubbies.

For now just ditch the hull extensions and get some footholds and you'll be set.

I see a trim lever. Is that a drop nozzle? If it is, look into turning it into a freestyle trim (nozzle goes up instead of down) or just do away with it altogether.

Look into getting a stock rideplate for it too. That worx will keep the nose planted. Over time, you'll learn how to use riding position to keep the nose down, but still allow it to come up when you need it to.

Ill see if I can get up to daytona. It did have a dropnozzel but was taken off and replaced with a straightnozzel, the cord was pushed into the hull, the hole was glassed over, cord left on if I want it later, still have nozzel. I want to get into wave riding as soon as I'm more comfortable on ski.

We ahve a very similar ski over here (or identical setup). Yes its fast, mostly on top. If you want to freestyle it a bit bore the nozzle to e.g. 84-85mm, change the prop ( I assume you have a prop for top speeds) add a FS cone. Also keep in mind that that ski will fill up with water once you start diving - oem bilge pump will not be good at all...
