Super Jet Superjet hull material

Looking into doing a build on a superjet at some point will more than likely be a rn over a sn, just looking into doing the glassing work, but found that the hull might be smc material? Is this right if so how do normal glass and resin react to joining to Smc, also is there any really good way to mesh the new glass into the hull? I want it to be as strong as possible but didnt really want to just lay it up to a flat cut if that makes sense???? I thought you were suppost to smash up the edges you glass too to really expose the glass and strands then mesh into it, but the material looks to be more plastic than furry glass?
hope this makes sense :)

The bottom deck and the bulkhead are molded SMC, correct. The top deck is glass. Don't use normal resin, use a marine grade resin, or epoxy at UScomposites. Clean any area you are using with acetone, and sand it with 35 grit to give the resin something to grab on to. Wash again with acetone. Do not sand over dirty SMC, you could force the oils and dirt further into the SMC, making the resin bond less strong.

If you get biaxial fabric (UScomposites) for strength, do not mash it up. It relies on the cross weave to stay strong.

Oki doke thanks gents, just the info I'm looking for another thing how is the best way to get shapes the way you want them when you completely cut out areas, I guess you just mould the foam how you want it does anybody use like a sheet material if you were to redo something like the footwell or side walls??
