Thanks!

Like I said though, the engine is still makeing a gurgling at low/mid rpms and vibrates...it isnt smooth...it "cleans" out at wot though...even though it isnt all that fast.

ok, as of right now, the Hooker impeller is a 9/15
The ocean pro steering nozzle has the divider, and is longer
I will see if i can get the headpipe screws to move...maby that is my problem? too much water?

I did NOT measure the headpipe or manifold.. I will take it apart and see

Any new developments? Not to hijack the thread, but I'm having similar problems with my 95 Superjet, in addition to hard starting. Rather than start a new thread I figured maybe I could revive this one so as to not recreate the wheel...

I've got the old-school Factory Pipe with only top and middle adjusters. Mid adjuster is seized closed. I put a screw in to close off the bottom (per a phone conversation I had with Factory Pipe). The top was also seized so I had to drill and tap it. Accidentally drilled a little to far and opened up the hole on the inside a little bit, but I can get the pipe to sizzle so I don't think I'm getting too much water. Runs strong on top.

In addition to the lack of low-end throttle response, the ski is tough to start in the water. I have to get off and tilt it so the exhaust exit is out of the water and work the throttle. I can't get a consistent idle out if it, either.

I've got a 1.5 n/s and a 95 gram spring which yeilds a pop off of around 42. 120 pilot and 145 main (which is what Factory recommends on their site - too rich?). I tried going 2 turns out on the low speed but it just will not start. Best starting and idling are around 1/4-1/2 turns out (which I know seems really lean).

I think part of my problem could be the k&n oval filter with the metal lid missing - just has a nylon pre-charger sock over it. I just got the ski and have been working out all the bugs. A stock flame arrestor is on the way.

Could the prop be causing any of the hard starting and idling problems? I only ask because it starts fine on the hose and I have to turn the idle adjuster a full turn down to keep it from screaming RPMs on the hose. It has a Solas YB-SC-A, which I was told by solas is a discontinued 12-17 pitch. Maybe too much prop for low speeds?
