Super Jet superjet handle pole problems

i am trying to shorten my handle pole but i am having problems getting it off the ski any ideas maybe heating it up?

What part is stuck?
Pole bolt?
I'd try some good penetrant/hand tools b4 heat..
I had an fx1 pole bolt frozen b4..soaked in pb blaster, and air impact then rubber mallet got it free.

You can shorten it while the bracket is bolted to the ski. Yank it out. You probably can't yank it out, so cut it off flush with the base, then cut the stuff out of the base. be sure to add what was inside to the base into your measurement (it's about 1.25"). So if you are going -3, only cut 1.75, or you'll end up being -4.25...

What about them? Use a hack saw and cut it by hand. You can shorten the pole while the wires are in it. Just think it through.
