Weirdest thing I have ever felt on any watercraft. My SJ will sometimes free rev as if the coupler has disconnected itself. The ski will do it at low speeds. I'm assuming that it's cavitation (feels like the pump becomes air locked) but does not sound anything like cavitation. Anyone ever experience this?
It has an R&D grate on it if that makes any difference.
Thanks,
Bri

i remember some one saying that your seals in your pump might be letting go and sucking in air.

no idea if thats true or not, but if you have been running this set up before and had no problems it sounds like it might be a culprit.

Thanks Demo, the bad thing is, all the seals are new, an oddly it doesn't do it all the time. Just trying to see if this might be somewhat normal?
Thanks Again,
Bri

Something like this happened to me over the weekend but mine was pretty simple. Flipped it over and pulled out a HUGE gob of seaweed. Bigger than my head. or yours. I would give it full throttle and barely plane.

I had a simalar thing happen when I tore the a$$ out of my pump shoe, might be worth checking there are no cracks in it.
