Super Jet Super jet 650 problem

i have a 1990 sj 650 it ran good last week now it runs fine out of water and hose in it but once i put it in the water idols fine once u give it throttle it dies down and bogs i thought it was a exhaust leak so i checked all the hoeses and tightined all hose clamps now im leaning toward it might be the stator anybody else had simlar problems?????

Just check the carb before u look at stator if u have taken flywheel off before its easy but if u havent its kinda a pain

Ya idk wat else to do I got a protec head and my buddy thinks it maybe a heating problem so check ur sensor I'm checking mine tomrow and also checking my compression I let u no what happens

Eh 10% is pushing it. Most good running motors are within 5. I would take the head off and see what's up with that. Bad rings or piston, blown gaskets is probably where I would start

I would find out what caused the cylinders to be 130/150 or after you rebuild the motor the problem may reoccur. Sometimes rings just wear out, But more often than not there are other problems that cause motors to go down, Bad jetting, overheating, air leaks, Bearings going in the bottom etc.

Yea tell the u just need to use the ramp and keep it strapped to the trailer and start it on there and do wat u need to do
