i recently picked up a 1991 SC with a 650 in it. It is pulling water and i cent figure out why. Thoughts anyone? New to the forum and just learning what i can as i go here in terms of what i can fix.....
super chicken is getting bogged down..taking water somehow?

seems like it is likely the thru hull drive shaft bearing support. what all will this repair entail? newbie here

Take the seat, and rear hull / engine cover off. Put it in the water, strapped to the trailer and see if you can see water coming in. Running, and not running. Driveshaft through hull bearing carrier is a pretty common failure. You have to remove the engine, and pull drive shaft out forward to replace.
