I've jumped big wakes and tried stabs and done some scary stuff but the scariest thing on a jet ski for me was a hood trick accident too:bigeyes:. Somehow my foot got wedge between my tray front corner and the bars which pinned the throttle wide open, so im going WOT on the hood across the lake. during this time of crisis i forget that i had my lanyerd on which I coulda pulled to stop instead i decied to roll backwards end up on my back in the tray and eventually roll into the water at WOT. Scariest thing ever :banghead:

I was on my SJ last summer, hopped up on the hood, my right leg caught the water and snatched it back and pressed it against the throttle....... you know what happened next........ WOT, ripped a huge chunk out of the backside of my knee (Yamacat was there), left a huge chunk of meat at the pivot of the lever (SE Finger throttle - really smooth). took forever to heal, had a race the next weekend!!!!!!!!!!

I did the same thing last weekend on the hood fell off to the right when going for a spin and baggy shorts pinned the throttle wide open dragged me under. Im glad i use my lanyered could have been ugly.

Big Ouch! That looks deep too and I know it had to hurt like hell.

That would have been interesting to watch if someone shot a video of it.

I think I'm going to tuck my shoe laces inside from now on.

Hood tricks are the devil......did a hood 180 and a no handed drive out...tried to stand up a bit using my abs to make it look beter instead of laying against the hood. The low end poer hit me harder then expect plus a little over rotation int he 180 and im on SJ...WOT....sitting on hood.....no hands........doing a back breaker bend move.......manage to fall off nearly 10 foot from shore...i remember hitting my back on the ground it was so close.

Happen in tupelo in that really small pond at the Tupelo races.....scary stuff

#2 Never ever do hood tricks
I have my own hood trick story.Back in 94' I was riding a 91' 440 way underpowered for my size, the thing wouldn't even plane out unless, I stood all the way forward in the tray and went straight. I'm going straight and that's all I can really do, so I decide to stand on the hood.
No turf, no booties.. feet slip out from under me, scissor my leg between the pole & hood...and here I've been thinking I'm the only donkey to of every experieced this:biggthumpup:
