Stupid couchers!

I feel hypocritical saying that, since I own one. and it isnt just the couchers, but people in general. Jeez, is so hard to learn the boating laws? I was on Gun Lake here in Shelbyville, MI yesterday and the lake was packed. I guess my first clueas to what the day would hold was when some a-hole cut in front of me in line at the ramp to put in.

then after having people cut me off, bear down on me for no other reason that they could, and watching idiots pulling tubers or riding there skis within 20' off anchored fishermen, I guess I'd just had enough. I actually ran down a couple of PWC riders and filled 'em in on the boating laws and informed them that everytime they make a bone head move like that, it gets us one step closer to being banned from yet another area lake. the guys I stopped, thanked me for the advice. (at least to my face  ) I'm not normally like this, and I guess I I was just tired of seeing it. the cops were out in force, so I figured might as well try to be proactive.

I have an Idea, instead of bitching at/about the uninformed idiots we see on the water, or chuckling to ourselves about the stupid bone head maneuvers we see Joe Wingnut and his buddies make, instead of taking This aproach :noevil: , lets stop 'em and fill 'em in. If they listen, in the long run, it's only helping us.

its always a problem. Just try and shrug it, or find a quiet spot, and always help those in need on the water, no matter how many times you end up swimming your broken ski home past boaters.

I aggree with the OP (did i just say that?)

I used to be the biggest "coucher apologist" in the world.

The fact of the matter is my first years skiing on the water were filled with lots of responsible couchers, i thought maybe it was only on lakes.

However, this year has changed all that.

I almost want to buy a boat just so I'm not part of the stupid ass section of water sports called jetskiing.

There is a CLEARLY marked no wake zone where I ride out of. There are usually at least 10 other boats in my port.

At this moment there were about 20 coming and going, and what do I see? SOME JACKASS WOMAN GOIN ABOUT 20 mph CUTTING IN AND OUT OF BOATS! WHILE THEY SCREAM AT HER!!!!!!!!!!

I was so angry at the moment that I sped up and chased her down and told her to cut the engine........she did and I asked her, "xcuse me maam, do you have a license to be out here?"

Her response "No hablo ingles"

I said "EL DRIVERS LICENSO" and showed her mine..........she said "No"......I said "You are illegal out here" and she took off fast again and went back from wherever she came from.

.............hate stupid couchers...........

I had a coucher almost hit me as I was trying to dock my boat this year. Not once, not twice, but three times in under 5 mins. I got off the boat when I finally got it docked and I was shaking because I was within 5 ft of hitting the guy. He was doing 360's in front of the dock as I was coming in, I honked my horn and he moved. As I'm within 25 ft. he comes back around trying to fling his buddy off the back by doing the 360's. In doing so, he's looking for his buddy behind him and not paying attention to what's in front of him. I had to slam the boat in reverse and cut the wheel. No lie, I had to sit down afterwards I was so shakin' up. I approached the guys and they didn't speak English. I was so hyped up that it didn't seem to bother me that it was me vs. him and his 12 brothers. I should have called the water cops.
