Stuck screws

Any ideas how I can get these out? Tried screw drivers that fit the hole perfectly, hit the screw driver with a hammer to try to break any corrosion, also tried vice grips. Used lots of WD40. I can't get them off.

The only other thing I can think of is to drill off the head, take off the nose piece, and try to get the screw out with some vice grips. That's a last resort kind of thing...

Any suggestions? This is a parts ski but I'd like to be able to use the pole bracket again.

Try an impact type crew driver. It has a place where you hit it with a hammer and it then turns from the impact. They work great for getting stubborn screws out.

When i put a new fuel door on my old 650 SX, the screws were like 5mm and stripped. So I drilled/tapped it for M6-1.00 .

If you have to... Do just what you said and drill the heads off. Use a slightly larger bit than the thread diameter and take your time. You do not want to damage the fuel door.

What ever happened to those pics of the UMI steering setups for an X2?

I haven't got to take them off yet. I've been very busy with school. Finding out what was up with my engine was #1. I'll run outside real fast and check out the UMI. I think I'm going to be hanging on to one set.

Take this.....there is a smaller/thiner version avaliable....

That's what I used. The screws are very round and the vice grips just slip off.
