Stroker Motors and Pump Gas Anyone?

Hi Fellaz... Im thinking about dropping a stroker in my XFT but i definetly dont want to use race gas cuz i use my ski almost every day and it could get real expensive.

So maybe drop the compression to 185-190psi... gas here is good quality and its equivelent to 94 octane in the US. I know strokers like to run at high psi... Does dropping the comp down on a stroker affect the performance negativly or drastically?

How will this stroker 10mm crank and billet cylinders etc etc with 185 psi compare to my setup now? Not that my current setup ever ran right

Think about this, Kawi's have a 6mm longer stroke than Yamahas. Does that make it a 6mm stroker? Not really, because the engine is designed to run like that. Build the stroker engine to run on pump gas and you're fine.

My 5mm Team Scream is running pump gas. I have the race gas domes, but haven't run them. No need to IMO---the thing RIPS as is. :bigeyes:

Is the ski a lamey cyl? If so i would liek to give it a whirl to see what my ski will be like.

This particular one is a Team Scream 61X 5mm stroker. But I do have another engine being built by Paul (JrMagoo's). :sneaky:

Ok so for u guys running on pump gas... wheres ur compression at?

I take it that even running low psi on a stroker will be waay waay stronger than my current setup... correct?

WaxHead.. u asked what cases im gonna run... Is there anything other than OEM??

As for which motor im going i think ill go with a Lamey or similar and im planning on keeping my current motor and put in in my Blaster:Banane01:

i figure with a 10 mil stroke you will be breaking throught the bottom of the cases as the 8 mil almost does it

i was running 185 in my 8 mil stroker on pump gas
