Pole pad mod
Threaded inserts ripped out so I used 2 pieces of alum strip bent into U shapes to cover where the inserts were. Drilled small pilot holes in the plastic pole pad shell to attach the alum pieces. Drilled & tapped bottom of alum pieces for screws to hold it on.
Also drilled and tapped 1 hole in from of pole to hold down the front of the pole pad.

I did this pole pad mod months ago.
True, it won't keep my ski from backfiring and blowing the coupler off. :banghead: I don't know what caused it to backfire like that, even after I ran it for a minute before putting it in the water. I wonder if a 2stroke backfire is caused by a lean or rich condtion??
