Surfriding Straps and Shoes

I ride surf stance, my tray has 8mm padding underneath and 2 dakine straps. I usually wear 2mm booties mostly for chafe protection/traction in the summer, but i've been riding much more lately and the bottom of my heels are hurting. Redoing my tray is gonna wait until the winter when I can put 25mm and do it how I want, so im thinking maybe shoes may be a good idea for the time. Anyone running shoes with straps? Which shoes? Seems like it might be a little tight with my proforms adjusted as loose as possible.

I have hardware glassed under my 25mm pad and turf but I've yet to put the strap on. I spent hours mocking it up with my riding shoes and I ended up mounting the t-nuts somewhat close together to bend my dakine strap to accommodate shoes.

I screwed up and forgot to mark the t nuts before putting the turf on and I can't feel the t nuts with my foot. It's gonna be a b*tch to find them and I've just been putting it off and riding so far this season.

I ride surf stance with a front strap and my other foot in the foothold. I'm rockin the teva water shoes and love them. They are wearing my turf down faster but it's worth the extra traction

My front strap adjusts plenty for the shoes

Yea I just pulled my xlace in the front for a proform, they have much more adjustability. What teva shoes you wear exactly? I was looking at adidas adizero sydney. They look like a awesome shoe for jet ski

saucony jazz originals. i always rock sneakers when riding and my friend turned me on to these this year and wont look back. best sneakers ive used and cheap. dont hold tons of water and sand and dry quick too. i rock these with dakine primo straps and no issues at all on fitment they are pretty low profile in the front and the back heals have tons of padding. feet never hurt after riding all day
