I don't think anyone is saying that Jason isn't a great rider, or a guy who's willing to help others, but if you were there (and please refrain from guessing those who weren't) here are some facts:

1) Jason has an awesome run, but so did Jeremy and Eric.

2) Jason wasn't at his best - he had a better run last year when he gave Eric something to be seriously worried about.

3) Eric's run was flawed, but far outstripped the other two on sheer amplitude and difficulty (backflip - who can compete but for a few individuals?)

4) Both Jeremy and Jason were much more enjoyable to watch - I'm sorry but Eric is getting dull, especially at the Nationals level when he doesn't show off his A-game.

5) Jason screwed his own run by pulling a sub after the end of his run and swamping his motor - screwing his chances at the double up.

6) The organizers threw him a bone by allowing him to go back out for the double up.

7) Both before, during and after the competition Jason showed very poor judgement and sportsmanship.

Those are facts, draw your own conclusions.

Thank you Adrain..... Always well spoken and in my opinion always with class! And totally correct as I was there also!

I personally spoke to Jason after the tirade and dissassemble of his boat and told him that he has given so much to the sport and has so much talent - I hoped that he wasn't going to quit...... The sport would truly suffer in my opionion if he was no longer a big part of it!

We all have our opinions on who should of taken first, second or for that matter last...... But the ones with class kept it to themselves if they disagreed.

But what I believe was a poor show of sportmanship was the "couple" of specators or so called "experts" around me that just couldn't shut up about "how this person got screwed" or "how the judging wasn't fair"....... Blah! Blah! Blah! I appreciate the fact that they have nothing more to say here now as I can assure you they said enough to insult the ones that did win!

For the ones that did win!!!! - Right on! Don't let anyone make you feel that you weren't deserving or you didn't have the ride of your life! Enjoy your victory - you too give a tremendous amount to this sport and your win was well deserved! :cheer:

I'm not bashin just trying to break up the drama.

So Stoyers an emotional guy.
I'm glad we have competiters with a little fire in there veins :firedevil:

That competition was incredibly close, and could have gone any way.

I wouldn't agree its the right thing to do but I know where those emotions come from..........a Fierce desire to Win

of course, we have to hear about jason's only from a troll/coward on the X who probably sifted through the trash to get it.

I just love the "opinions" on what exactly went down by people that were no where near Nashville Tennessee...:bs2:

No....actually it was picked up from the street by the very juniors that got the pleasure of seeing it being destroyed......

Make your own judgement on why......... I have my own opionion on that one!

I didn't want to get into this but I just can't stay away.
I am going have to agree with my mom on this mostly. It was very bad sportsmanship to do that. alot of the kids look up to him and all the other freestylers, including me.(I want to start doing freestyle someday)

well said Adrian that is all the facts laid out there for all of you people.

This thread was NOT posted to bash Jason at all. So stop saying that. oh and by the way RONNY he was yelling at the official. I was standing right next to him!

Unfortunatly I was around the people(not mentioning any names) that were talking sh*t about the freestyle and what the places were and all that. Blaming some of the judges for judging the freestylers wrong. I DONT WANT TO HEAR THAT!!! it sounds like all of you are in highschool again.

I forgot!
this sport is too boring without the drama, tune in next week for: As The Ski Rolls. i would think that the pits at nascar or any changerooms in sports are no better or read some of them snocross racer forums, they threaten to kill eachother if soandso shows up to the next race, lol Tempers fly and we love it. i can't wait to see what he'll do next!

i found the top cup of the trophy by my tent, i didnt know who it was from.

I didnt know it was him, and wondered why he was taking his boat apart.

edit: i also think that parr had the best run. he didnt lose his boat like stoyer and malone, who lost his twice. parr filled the clock the best IMO, and he threw one heck of a "flarrel roll" over the double boat wakes. ganted hsi tricks werent as technical as malones, but i think his run was best. how does jason think he got screwed?

personally, i was disappointed in how some things were handled, my biggest peave was that they screwed so many people out of their earned positions, including my sister in juniors, also indy al millers son. saturdays race in 1200 limited, maybe it was amateur, was a joke. everyone but one rider missed a yellow buoy becuase there was a down rider and they said the course marshalls pointed them "around the first buoy" well, they never pointed, they only waved the flag to show the downed rider. they cried about it and got their way. there was too much playing of favorites this weekend.

not to mention 2 of the women in the crew couldnt figure out how to use a calculator....

seriously people.. adrians comments are not Facts. come on, reread them.

lol.. seriously.

You know what, the only facts out there are this...........

1. Adrian (sp?) posted his opinion...........
2. Jason did destroy his Trophy..........
3. Jason did give away his hull.......... Out of Spite or as a jesture of good will to a future freestyler.......... We will never know that........
4. I will back up Patrick's comments about the judging......... It was close....... They all had good runs............ Judging should not be easy, otherwise it would be boring................ Criteria for Judging............. Personal Opinion............... The IJSBA has never given any requirements for judging........Nedra and I talked along time about this very problem............. So............ It comes back to the Judges.......... Let's see, 2 Judges (current freestylers, one of them a National Champion) the other 3, one is a racer who I know for a fact freerides in Florida............ the other 2, honestly, dont know their experience...... but, I guess you could say that there was no favoritism....... I would go as far as saying it was a well rounded panel.........
5. He was there............. (Adrian)

This is what you get with judged sports. People have different opinions on who place where. Thats just the way it goes. People will have personal problems or friendships with riders and it effects who they believe placed in what spot.
This thread WAS started by someone in order to bash Stoyer That is obvious. Others did the same thing with no mention or pics.
