storing a ski in public storage?

If you are in Florida you can come by that blue tarp crap rather easily, while you heisting it grab some clothes line to secure.....It's readily available.
Chain up a Rottweiler to the whole stack and keep him fed so he doesn't knaw on your turf when he's sketchy..
Just Kidding!
You can rent a storage unit around P.C Beach for about $200.00 a month, I know guy's that stow their cars away, they just don't store fuel, of course the cars have some fuel but that's a givin, most of the rental places just want the dough.

OK, the prices your getting are correct(maybe even a little low), I always ask the questions about dry tanks and jugs but if you can get away without having to do it everytime thats a +, I always ask if they allow bands(I don't have anything against rock bands but some of the riff-raff that come to here them play end up stealing your sh*t on their way out!).Gated is great but always cost more, that topper idea is a good one,you could pay for one of those w/4 months rent!My Bro lives in 'Tally I can ask him if he's got space,LMK.Hey Suzi what's up with that price quote for solenoid(that sounds way off the chart).

What! What!
I have stored my skis in a public storage unit for some time now. Works great. Some ideas for ya.

1. Find out what sort of access you will have to your unit. Can you get in there any time of day or night? Do they have to let you in, or can you access the unit yourself.
2. Is there enough room to maneuver your trailer into the unit? It can be difficult to get into some units.
3. I unhitch mine to just roll it in manually. Check to see if the entrance is smooth if you put yours in the unit this way. It can get difficult to roll up any sort of incline, and if there is any sort of uneven surface it can get even harder.
4. Make sure your trailer and everything you need with it will actually fit in the unit.
5. Does the unit have electric? Helps if you need to hook up a charger or use any other electrical devices.

Ride on!

well i found a place to store it in my apartment but the problem is fitting it in the elevator, but i was thinking that with a beach cart i could tilt the ski up and maybe it would fit in the elevator. diagonally the elevator is 7ft long so if i could get the sj to tilt i think it could fit.what do you guys think?are there any beach carts that arent much longer than the ski so this could possibly work, or am i going to have to build a short one? it would keep me from paying around 60 a month for storage.

well i got it in the apartment. i could almost just roll the shop stand into the elevator and send it up. the back corner was an inch too much fr the door to shut, so had to take it off the stand and tilt it up. was a huge pain in the ass given that i am Jesse's height but a whole heck of a lot skinnier. What beach cart is the easiest to move around? i also didnt think of the nice gas smell i am going to have in my room, guess i'll sleep hard with all the fumes ha.
