G'day from Australia.
This is my first post, this forum has however helped me enormously in getting into jetskis so thankyou all.
I have bought a secondhand but good as new 2016 Superjet and just finished installed a limited b pipe.
It is set up exactly to the installation instructions including the recommended carby adjustments.
First test ride was great, ski is massively improved in power and throttle response so the result is positive.
I have noticed though that the ski seems to run alot hotter, the water from the pisser and head and cylinder (to touch) all feel much hotter (especially the pisser, not sure how hot the head was getting prior). I dont think its scary hot, pisser water does not burn and the head and cylinder you can hold without letting go but only just (cold hands could affect this).
The ski has the stock head and therefore has the overheat sensor active and I assume this will kick in if its getting too hot?
Is it normal to get this extra heat? and should I do anything about it?
I havent done any fine tuning of the carbies or pipe screws yet, Im happy with the skis performance as is, but can these adjustments, especially the head pipe adjustments affect engine heat?
Thanks in advance for any input,
Nigel
