Stock hood handholds.... good or no?

I have seen handholds that you can place into the stock hood on sites like blowsion, etc...etc...

Has anyone used these? If you have, do you like them?

I would really like to get an aftermarket lowered hood/nose, but maybe this will get me through a year or 2 with my stock hood...maybe I should just save up for aftermarket....

You can build your own handholds. Look it up, doesn't look that hard. But, I see no reason not to put handholds in the stock hood if you want them though, whether you make them or not.

Also, I have seen where people (Carter B on this forum for sure) have converted the stock hood into a lowered hood, and built a lowered nosepiece. Looks just about the same as most of the aftermarket hoods, but I am sure takes a lot of skill with glass. I am going to be trying it this winter most likely. Its a lot cheaper than buying one.

ive never used them but they seem to be a good and cheap alternative. they "drop in" which is good because you dont have to remove the liner to install handcups under the holds, like you do with homemade ones (unless you make a flanged handhold like blowsion sells).

yeah i got some of my friends done that ,. convert the Stock hood into a lowerd witha nose piece ... it a good idea to have fun for the next one or 2 years .. and make ur own hand holds its easy .. but if u need a comfortble work . go on .. i got one of my friends installed blowsion hand holds on a stock hood .. its not a bad idea , just having fun :tongue:
