stock bilge routing?

Im hooking up the stock bilge back in my sj, I remember stock and like it shows in shop manual the line come from the pump and up towards the top of the bulkhead, then there is an L fitting with a line going to the bilge strainer. Can I just go straight to the bilge pickup or does the height it goes up make a different. If that makes any sense?

another brain fart, the bilge line is on the carb side and the cooling is exhaust side right?

when you take it out is there anything you need to do??liek is there a hole from it

not really. theres just another cooling line running through the bulkhead. so you have to put a vacuum cap one one of the ends.

the cooling line comes from the carb side and the bilgepump line is from the exhaust side.

the little 90* piece needs to be in there. thats the "anti-syphon valve" that keeps your ski from sinking when beached.

you could just run a hose up high and poke a small hole in it. if you need the piece, i have a few.

thanks for the clarification. I thought the bilge was carb side. I have that 90* piece, is there a certain way it needs to be place between the two lines.
