In building my RN sj, I'm trying to utilize my sn pump but the vein section has a stock bilge hole and my RN hull does not. Can I adapt that to a dual cooling fitting by reducing the opening? Anyone have thoughts or know how to make it work?
Why not? It's in the same spot as you would normally drill a hole, tap and add a second cooling fitting.
IIRC, the newer models came where that boss was never drilled out. I have drilled them out and added a cooling line. On older pumps, I have even filled that hole with JB weld and drilled and tapped it for a cooling fitting as well.
Go to lowes and buy this....I think this is the right one. It should almost fit perfectly in that opening. JB weld it in and boom, you are done. Worked perfectly and isnt going anywhere.
Oh Matt, that would have been perfect! I just filled it completely in with jb weld. Going to drill and tap tomorrow night. Thanks guys for the help and answers!
