Stock 701 CDI in 650 superjet

So I was wondering since the 701 CDI has a higher rev limiter and I don't want to spend the money on an aftermarket CDI I was wondering if I could find a stock 701 CDI and replace the 650 one with it. I was just wondering sorry if this is a no brainer and I am wrong however I just wanted to see if I could get a little more performance while not spending a lot since it is a 650. If I can would there be anything else I would need to change and also would this be something that I would want to do if possible. Thanks in advance!

yes. it is a direct swap and will raise your max rpm from ~6500 to ~7100.

mod your stock one for a few bucks, that is if you feel handy with a soldering gun and some resistors.
