Stiff Fuel Petcock

My fuel Petcock has become very hard to turn. Probably ethanol fuel has swelled o-rings. Rather than buy a new one and have it happen again, I made a plastic tool that is always on the jet ski to make turning the valve easier. Not elegant but functional. Valve funtions fine.IMG_20180814_092519852.jpg

I cleaned mine a few times and I think it's just a bad design. I bought an aftermarket one for about 20 bucks or less and have no problem for a few years now.

Did you replace it with the plastic WSM 006-600? It has a platic hex mounting nut. Was the hole through the ski the correct size? We're you able to reuse the fuel dash sticker?

Yes, that was the one and the hole was a good size but my sticker was trashed. I actually had a trim or backing plate from a seadoo and used it instead of the sticker. It worked out better because the positioning was different for on/off /res. It's all good now, I can actually turn to reserve when I run out:)

What year and model did the Sea-Doo backing plate come from?

Thx
