steering cable question

i broke my steering cable and i ghetto rigged it to work.

if i'm riding at -7 in can i use a rn or sn steering cable? or are they both the same?

I have a RN with a minus 5 pole. I originally had a SN cable in it until it broke. I replaced it with a RN cable. Both worked fine for me.

Be advised that the sq nose cable is several inches longer, it works well on rn too.

when my sn cable broke (on my sn) i just had it welded back on, worked good till the weld broke a year later. I just tapped it at the end after cutting the weld off, works better! before it was bottoming out on the cable ends. I now have even more adjustment.
