Hi I bought a new stator for my x2 and it only came with 4 wires instead of 5.
I was just wondering if the 4 wire stator qould work in place of the 5 wire one?

I'm not 100% sure

I've done it to test a stator n I know others do it, but I've personally never ran the ski like that(only tested)

The wiring is a mess in this ski so now I just have to figure out where everything goes. It is a 550/650 conversion.

So its been a while since I posted but I finally have the ski running but im now running into a problem that it will only run at first when its in the water. I can run it all day as long as I dont shut it off. Once its shut off it will not start again until its dried out. I keep trying until I have pretty much killed the battery. It has spark but it looks like its a week spark. Its also getting gas, the plugs are wet when I pull then. Not sure if a weak battery could be a problem for running.
Any help would be much appreciated. Let me know what you guys think thanks.

Trying to understand the 4 vs 5 wire stators. My 89 650 sx has a five wire stator which shorted out and went south. I have a four wire replacement and am unsure if it will work. From this posting it seems the fifth wire is a double ground. So did your four wire stator work. Which ground did you eliminate in the Ebox?
