Im trying to get this Stator off of my 701 motor and it giving me a little trouble!

I got the big main middle bolt off ....so that's done.

I cant seem to pull the stator out??

I rented a harmonic flywheel removal tool and its all setup but the Stator still does not want to come off!

Are there any bolts or screws I need to remove besides the one main big one in the middle??
How much force should I be applying when I turn the Harmonic flywheel removal tool??.....I have tried really hard and the stator will not come off!

That's it. Be very very careful not to drive the bolts in too much or you'll ruin your stator. If it's stuck, put as much torque on it as you can and then give it a few good hits with a hammer at the end of the puller hitting towards the nose of the crank. That should do it. It'll sound like something exploded, but it's just your flywheel coming loose.

Like he said. I just replaced one recently on the same motor, it took some pressure. I sprayed the center with brake cleaner and WD 40, let it sit a couple of hrs then........ BAM.....it came off!

You need to pull the flywheel before you pull the stator.
