this is what my ski looked like at the beginning of this year, as of right now she is alittle more beat looking, turf is all faded, scratches and scuffs everywhere, chinpad cover has a rip in it, you know the normal wear and tear. i have got an extensive amount of work to do on this baby and most will start after the daytona ride, but i started getting into it this weekend...
current setup
mildly ported stock bore/stroke sxr
milled stock head 175 psi
taper bored dual 46mm mikunis
jetinetics lightweight charging flywheel
pro k filters
wet pipe
tdr water box
-2 umi pole -1 blowsion steering 0 degree bars
skat 13/18 cutback prop
2 5/8" set back motor
a few other things like bilges and such but you get the drift
coming after this winter
motor
bored to ***cc's :sneaky:
port job
possible girdled head of unknown brand (what do you guys recommend?)
will still run mostly pump gas
thinking of switching to a dry pipe, (thats the reason for the girdled head) have been talking to some people about it, and you can get more of a hit out of it and i already have an ecwi system to get my bottom end back. if i sold my wet pipe it wouldnt be a big loss to buy a used dry. what do you guys think about this option?
hull/pump/everything else
i am going out to watcon over my turkey break and i will learn how to split a hull and other things sooo.......
splitting upper and lower hull(can't wait for this)
shortening hull 2 1/2" or so
getting rid of rear exhaust going front only
dual one way valves
getting as much weight off as possible everywhere
keeping bottom deck black, but having a buddy paint the top, mostly green of course
returf/revamp footholds (make alittle smaller)
fix dings, scratches, and cracks, and some unecessray switch and bilge holes...
tell me what you think about the dry pipe idea, i hear they make more power on modified motors? toss me suggestions and whatnot, but i dont want to hear by a yamaha.......its just out of the question
stay tuned for the laserjet build :friday:
