I guess im tearing that motor down.... any recommendations and best places to get gasket kits. and rebuild kits!

move the motor away from the mid shaft and see if you can turn either of them separately to find the problem more

Well, pull the motor mounts and slide it forward a few inches and turn the pump, verify its the motor before you tear it apart. Good luck

x2. Isolate the problem to either the pump/midshaft area or to the motor.
Whichever it is, remove from the hull and disassemble. I wouldn't worry about gaskets quite yet. Tear it down first to find out what it is you really need.
