650/X-2 starter help

So I went to start my 650 today and when I press the button there's no noise at all, not even a clicking. I tested the button and battery so Im pretty sure its the starter relay.

I opened the electrical box and the relay is rusted to hell. I looked on amazon and found the relay for '87 to '91 models for $83 when the one for '92-'93 models is only $11. Could there reallt be such a difference in the part for each year? Would the cheaper one work in my '87?

I bought two after market starter relays for my Round noise, they were less than half the cost of OE. One day my ski would not crank, clicked a few times and quit, no problem got new relays right, installed one it did absolutely nothing, installed the second one and it just clicked, both new defective, wow OE for me now

The one for the newer models will work but the color of the wires will be different than the ones on your ski. You will just have to figure out which ones go where and you should be good to go but I also would suggest OE as Harbor did but hey for 11 bucks id at least give it a try let us know if you do and how it works!

With the chance to save $70 I think ill go for it. I'll post back with results
