Starter Dead?

I was letting a buddy ride my 750sxi-pro this past weekend, and after about 10 min of learning to ride it stopped cranking over. Pistons aren't moving, and when I hit the ignition all I hear is what I believe to be the starter spinning.

Thoughts?

Sounds like the bendix isn't engaging.

Put some jumper cables on your battery from a good battery and try again. If your voltage is too low
It won't engage sometimes.

Otherwise you may need a new bendix or flywheel.

It's a brand new battery, so I know it's not the battery. Bummer. Thanks for the info.
