Blaster Start stop switch?

When I bought my blaster the guy that sold it to me told me there was a problem with the start stop switch. It seems to me the start/stop buttons work without any issue. It's the lanyard button that is jacked. If the lanyard is pulled then it won't start. If I take it apart and smack it a few times then it starts again. It's obvious that someone tried to repair it based on the silicone on the switch.

Can these individual switches be bought? Or do I have to buy the whole assembly? I wanted to take this thing out to the lake tomorrow but I don't feel comfortable with the issue I'm having. ThX..

no they are not sold as individuals. but maybe you can clean the inside of the switch if you take it apart. i had to all three in mine beginning of this year. just do one at a time.

If you'll notice in the picture it looks like the rubber cover has been tore off. It just has a bunch of silicone on it. It's probably getting water in it and not allowing it to release when the lanyard is clipped back in.

I just had the same issue with my B1 a couple days ago. Remove the 4 screws on the rear cover of the lanyard switch. Pull the two pieces apart but be carefull, there are two tiny springs and two small copper or brass "brushes" that you can loose easily. The issue I had was one of the brushes was stuck in the down position and not making contact. The spring was missing and there was a lot of crud gumming everything up. Clean the switch with some spray electrical contact cleaner and reassemble using dielectric grease. If you are missing one of the springs like I was you can find a similar spring in Kwikset deadbolt cores.

Mike just had a problem. I took off those four screws and I think I messed up the positioning of the copper brushes. Do you know the correct way for them to be placed?
