Ok I tried starting my ski about 2 weeks ago and after charging my battery I have nothing when I hit the start button. No click nothing. If I disconnect the harness plug, what color wires do I need to jump to bypass the start stop switch to narrow down my problem? Im hoping its the switch so I dont have to tear my ebox apart lol.

If you don't even get starter engagement, disconnecting wires will not help.
Take the start switch apart and make sure that both contact posts and the contact plate are clean. Fine grit sandpaper helps.
If that does not do the trick, you need take the stop/lanyard section apart. That's a bit more complicated - I am actually getting ready to do the same to mine today.

i took the switch apart and it is very clean and has di-electric grease on the contacts. It was just rebuilt last year. I just wanted to run a jumper wire to bypass it to see if it would crank over before I took the ebox apart to check the solenoid. Ive done it in the past but I dont remember what color wires to jump.

Okay, got you now.

Disconnect both the black and white connectors from the ebox.
Then jump the contacts inside the white connector.

The grease isnt on the contacts themselves, it is around the mating surfaces of the houseing and the surrounding areas around the contacts. Works very good since I only ride in salt water.

Thanks for this thread. It inspired me to attempt a fix on my stop switch. It does not work.
The switch innards themselves are now clean. Still no stop, though. Guess I'll have to pull the wire harness and check the wiring.

Sweet, I found my problem. The white wire was corroded about three inches up from the connector. Off to ACE to get some heat shrink butt connectors.
It's amazing how I can work all day long on other people's couches, but I am too lazy to fix a simple wiring problem on my ski for months. I think I've gotten that lazy because I never have any engine problems with my Jetworks boat anymore.
