Super Jet start keeps breaking and grinding

I have a 96 yamaha superjet and I keep breaking starters or they keep going out. This season I've gone threw 3 starters 2 bendrixs. And 1 flywheel. My starters keep breaking and grinding around the teeth they break or jam the hendrix into the flywheel cover and messing up my flywheel I think the bendrix states engaged or my starter stays on spinning. What could be chasing this problem? Has anyone had this issue?

I think I see your problem...We need to exchange hulls. My SN for your RN. I am confident this would solve the above issue!

Are you getting OEM or cheap eBay ones? OEM are quite a bit more but it's worth it.

are your flywheels getting a good seat on the crank? could have a bur holding it out

isn't there a spring with associated washers in the bushing hole (in the flywheeel cover) that helps to push the bendix back out of the extended position once you let off the start button? do you have those in correctly (with the washers)? since it sounds like your bendix is getting a lot of heavy wear, wondering if it is not getting retracted properlyafter each use.

I have the spring and been using th oem bendrix my flywheels teeth are fine no problem I just wanna know why my starter keeps jamming up
