Other Stand Up Ski's Supply & Demand

There seems to be a massive stand up revival in the UK, the local lake where we ski had 11 or 12 skis out one day in the middle of winter, you were lucky to get 3 or 4 in thesummer a couple of years ago. Things are looking up in my opinion, and i base that on what i feel myself and see, not what somebody rams down my throat on the media

I derailed the thread enough and don't want to further contribute to that. Honestly, Pond, great points and well said, I don't have much in rebuttal anyway.

Lot's of good replies, the same thing we are seeing in Arizona. I was up to 7 stand ups until recently and decided I wanted (4) high quality ski's so I picked up an 08 SuperJet for $4500.00 and an 06 SXR for $4200.00 in the last month (both great deals), both mint ski's that are keepers, decided to keep my 2000 SuperJet and a 2001 SXI Pro.

Ski's that I sold were a 1990 650 SX for $ 1300.00, a 1994 550 SX for $ 1100.00, a 1994 750 SX for $ 1400.00, and a 1995 SuperJet for $ 2000.00, all of these extra ski's were mint and I think I sold them all at fair prices considering the condition and low hours. I sold all of these ski's in less than a week.

Since selling them the market is very low with supply and the ski's that are listed are ridiculously high priced, but if people have the cash and want a stand up ski the prices will be paid.

the 750 only went for 1400? that's what mine went for earlier this year. I think those should be valued higher.

I listed it for $ 1600.00 which is a fair price for a single carb 750 and the guy played me a sad story about how this is for his girlfriend and would I take $ 1400.00 - then the little bastard put it up on Craigslist the next day for $ 2600.00 - which it is not worth anywhere close to that amount.
