Sporadic Start Stop Kill Switch

I have been having this issue for 3 years and finally decided to ask for help. The stop/start/kill switch on 93 superjet works sporadically. If I try the ski and it won't start all I have to do is hit the bottom of the switch a few times with my knuckles and it will immediately start. I just took it apart, cleaned the contacts on the start button and hit with some WD40. This did not resolve the issue. Does anyone have suggestions as to what I can try?
Thanks

yes I just fought this issue over the weekend. Check your connections down from you switch to your ebox starter solenoid... I had a loose power connection and a bad starter solenoid... I would check connections and order a starter solenoid for a spare at least. Ways to check:

1. check all electrical connections for tight connections
2. (my issue #1) Open ebox and remove starter solenoid take the two small wires coming from the solenoid and connect directly to a 12V battery you should hear the solenoid click if so the solenoid is probably okay but you could always replace with a new one...
3. Check continuity from the linesfrom the switch: disconnect your switch wires from the ebox and use a multi meter on the continuity setting (google the symbol) Stick your prongs in the Brown and red wire.. press the start button if the multimeter dings continuity is good. Do the same with the white and black wires and the red stop button. If these are good then you know your switch is sending a good signal into the ebox. If not then it is more than likely you switch.
4. (My issue #2) the small red power cable that connects the battery power to the starter solenoid had a poor connection so it was intermittently providing a power to the solenoid to start the engine.. the switch was fine it was the power to the solenoid that was bad...

Let me know if you have questions! Frustrating I know but always double check the simple things.

one of my skis is doing that. when i connect the lanyard the button its supposed to allow to pop up is sticking and stays down. hitting the casing pops it up.
