Custom/Hybrid Sparkplugs? NGK-R vs NGK RACING plugs??

Hi guys
We have been talking about this, because a MX mechanic sais they used the NGK RACING plugs in the two strokes and never burned a plug and could allso feel the diffrence.
I called a kart guy, and asked him. He allso told me that he though they could be better (the Racing plug, over the normal NGK-R) He allsio told me that they had dome some testing with the racing plugs, with resistor caps and non resistor. They couldnt feel diffrence.
So, has anyone done some testing?

I run silverstone non resistor plugs on my ski I don't know if they work any better than ngk plugs but they don't foul and I can use one set all season long.

Digital CDI's need resistor plugs or they won't work properly(RFI), using resistor plug-caps won't do the trick. You can run a slightly larger gap on a fine-wire racing plug due to the lower voltage needed to jump the gap, theoretically the larger gap will speed up combustion.

I use non resistor plugs with non resistor cap with a digital msd. I use nology hot wires. No problems. The RFI is in the combustion chamber and the nology wire suppress interference. I have the digital wires.

I'd go with the 2-stroke ngk racing plug with the solid tops if you want the one piece fine wire electrode type plugs. These plugs use more copper inside so they're just a bit more costly than the stock plugs but they are specifically designed for the 2-stroke engine. They're made for racing and have a deep seated copper core with a wider heat range which is more resistant to fouling. Also they have the fine-wire center electrode which provides better sparking and enhanced ignitability. The non resistor plugs deliver more amperage with less voltage and are more suited for marine use or racing applications. Resistor plugs were mainly designed for radio suppression and emi interference problems which are often not needed in a jet-ski.

Only waterproof caps we get here are NGK(resistor). I put B8ES plugs in once, ski started but idled rough, if I opened the throttle it coughed and backfired.

I have tried the BR8EGV race plugs, BR8EG race plugs, and the BR8ES plugs, bottom line is I could 'FEEL' no difference so I stick with the solid top BR8ES plugs that I can buy at any parts house cheap. I feel that since I run VP CHP race fuel with the best of everything that money can buy under the hood, it's stupid to not change the 4.00 worth of spark plugs every couple of weeks. VP CHP fuel is leaded and therefore can cause lead fouling on the plugs.

You won't feel a difference, it's more about how long they work best before replacing plugs. I have always been on the same idea that the fancy plugs only work slightly better for a short time so it's better to swap in cheaper ones often. Now I run the silverstones so I don't have to swap them at all.
