What sparkplug should i run in my RN 701? The sticker on the OEM exhaust says BR7HS and the manual says BR8HS?
I’ve recently installed a b pipe on my stock engine if that matters.

NGK numbers their plugs with lower # being hotter. Generally #8 is ideal for watercraft, If your fuel/oil tends to foul plugs then use #7.

If you ride surf I've found the 7s to work better. Seems the hotter plug keeps the throttle response a bit better when your on and off the throttle with little time to hold wide open and clear it out. Now be careful with this on high compression engines. the hotter plug may raise cylinder temperature and cause pre detonation.
