i always thought plugs should be brown if all was good, but i found this as a plug that should be workig well
this is about what mine looks like so i am optimistic
what do you guys think

The only way to tell if your ski is running lean or not is to do a plug chop. I won't go into the details here, but to read that plug, you need to read it at the base of the insulator, not towards the top where the electrode is.

i have done that and this is basically what i got, did not really start to effect the base of the insulator yet, i rode wot for like 60 secs and did this. plug color started to get grayish on the tip and not much else

as i continued to ride on the new plugs in various throttle posistions it is taking on the appearance of the plug pic i found

How old is the plug? You don't get a very good reading off a new plug.

about a 1/2 tank of gas on the plug

I'd use an old one of you have one - they take the color better when they've got some hours on them.
