Super Jet spark plugs/tune?

Location
Australia
Ski hasn't been running 100% for a little while so I pulled the plugs and and put new ones in (BR8HS), went for a ride today and when I got home pulled the plugs out. This is what they looked like.

Ski is a stock 701, stock carbs. Factory B Pipe.

Looks like they might be running a little lean? Anyone got any thoughts? Normally the plugs would be black with a brown tinge on the electrode.

too hard to tell from a spark plug reading. for instance, you could have plugged / dirty carbs, and be running lean on the high circut of the carbs, AND also have leaking / dribbling needle & seats causing a rich condition at idle.

you really need to check piston wash.

if you have not gone through your carbs, i would strongly recommend doing so. IMO it is just good maintenance. be sure, to use only genuine mikuni kits, and parts.

we also see MANY fuel select valves go bad. i do not even check them anymore, i just replace them.... i am also seeing fuel related problems due to ethanol, so be sure to get good gas.

what symptoms are you having? you may have a totally separate issue.... ( loss of spark, low compression, etc)

You will never have clean plugs unless you ride WOT all the time. Freestyle tuning and riding tends to turn plugs black very quickly.

I would say pull your head and check your pistons and you cant tell more.

why pull the head?
just get a fiber optic flashlight like a bore light at you local gunshop
allows great inspection of the piston crown with just pulling the plugs!

That sounds way easier than unscrewing twelve bolts.
