I am going to make a suggestion here that is sure to get my little azz beat by some certain people that reside in GA.

pm Paul and Kathy and express the desire to have another SFF!!! As of now-there is no SFF-they are really gonna kill me for this one.LOL
I would HOPE that if they got a few hundred pm's-they MIGHT re-consider. Please keep in mind here-I AM shootin from the hip on this topic.

I would love to say yes.... but with the conditions of the lakes and the schedules of the organizers - I think we will just have to plan a HUGE one for next year! As of this weekend - we are still over 19 feet down.

Aren't people organizing one in Alabama (where they still have some water) in place of ours this year???? It sounded great! :Banane09:

We were very excited after the success from last year - Even all the Yamaha execs wanted to participate this year! But honestly this year for Paul and I - it is not only the lakes but Megan's senior year so we have final recitals (big deal) and graduation. If someone else wants to organize it - I would be glad to help but I can't this year..... But I really think the lakes are not going to be ready by May if even by the end of the summer! I would totally support someone if they wanted to organize the one for this year.... Truly Paul and I were only (2) of about a dozen people that put last year's ride together...... It couldn't of been done without everyone's help!!! I still am amazed how Nick does it..... He does an incredible job!:bananajump:

As one of the peeps who helped put last years ride together, I say Yeah, it would be great to have another ride, but we would have needed to start planning long ago.

I think everyone had a great time last year and loved the location that we had with the exception in the lack of big cruiser wakes, oh well, you cant have it all..

Anyways, at this time Lanier is out..It is still 19 feet low and is showing very little signs of rising any time soon....Allatoona is coming up nicely but still has a ways to go, it is presently at 13 feet low.

I agree with Kathy in the fact that this year is just gonna be too hectic to try and do and that we just need to have a huge one next year....


And from what I understand, Hartwell, is low and not showing signs of coming up....

Allatoona is let down every year in the winter for flood control.

I think its a good thing it gives people a break plus opens the door for other freerides to take root,and more freerides are always a good thing.

Agreed...everyone needs to read what has been posted by the organizers. Everyone needs a break & have other lives outside of planning freerides. Like you said, DJ, it will just makes next year's that much better.
