nah i got no reason to ignore him haha..

his little antics arent bothering me much at all, i am trying to figure out what his problem is, but its not working out...there is no reasoning with the guy, but you gotta remember he is just words on a screen, i wanna see what he says in real life, oughtta be a riot

i have nothing against you. really. youre young and dumb. thats cool. but, hey, do us a favor.... next time you and your buddies go out and do retarded and irresponsible $hit..... dont come posting it on here or any other PWC site. we have enough BS to deal with for just riding our skis. we dont need intentional stupidity bringing us down as well.

...... oh yeah... and kawis dont belong in the buildoff!!!!

:haha:

hey, i am just trying to do what i can with what i got.. yami is no option for me (the MX shop i ride for is a kawi dealer would kick me off their team if they saw me on blue), so thanks to you i guess wont enter my ski in the buildoff, but just to show you i am not some dumb kid at lanier i will show you my ski and let you know all the poop and time, and thought i put into the thing...

A build-off ski should be a ski designed and built for the build-off. A ski with something extraordinary that sets it apart from the skis on the rest of the beach. There are some killer skis on the beach that deserve attention, but then it would be just like a car show, not a build off.

Build-off skis should be noticably custom. Remember watching the biker buildoffs? They werent just bikes with some aftermarket parts and a good paint job. They had definite point, whether super clean old school, no wires, hoses, ect showing. Or crazy custom wicked twisting frames. The builders had a specific design and the purpose of the design and build was for the build-off.

IMO, the buildoff should be something that not everyone can enter. Skis being build over a couple years would not qualify, unless you did a MAJOR overhaul on it for the buildoff. As for classes, I guess pro and amuetur classes would be ok, but limit it to like 3 boats per class, or have them all together and limit it to 4-6 boats. A lot of skis kind of dilutes the custom/inovative feel of the build-off. I thought 6 was a lot last year. Be picky on the build off, then have a couple none buildoff awards to give to people on the beach. That was cool last year.

If it would blend in with the skis down on the beach, my opinion is show it off in a build thread not the build-off.

So what you are saying then is if you actually ride your ski you shouldn't enter it in the buildoff, wouldn't want to mess up the paint now would we.What you are also saying is that unless you hava a bazillion dollars laying around to put into a ski ,then don't even bother. What kind of message is that sending to everyone?

i'm saying a build-off ski should be built for the build-off then ride it however you want to. Look a Paul's ski from the first build off. Great ski, then ridden a lot. Or CG's custom ski, beautiful ski. Then he was try to learn backflips with it in the cherry buster. But both stand out from the crowd and you KNOW what ski it is, but still ridden hard.

What you are also saying is that unless you hava a bazillion dollars laying around to put into a ski ,then don't even bother. What kind of message is that sending to everyone?

Another example, look at highrollers ski from the first. Very custom and different. People KNOW that ski. But it didn't cost him a "bazillion" dollars.

I don't think you understood anything I said. I personally think it should be a custom buildoff to showoff the top talent and innovation, not a local car show to show off some bolt-ons and decent paint.

I guess it is a good thing for the rest of us that you are not making up rules then huh?

What were the guidelines last year? Someone could not go out and buy a EME-1000 and enter it in the build off could they? I personally like seeing boats that individuals built and know the ins and outs of the ski.

and a proud one at that:woot: (except for when i have to try and carry it)

Lemme see if i can break this down for ya.

First, I understand your young and building your ski with what you got. I did the same thing too. I got a job and worked and dumped all my pennies into it. Thats cool, and im happy for ya.

I'm not trying to insult your ski at all, neither is SFL actually. We're just trying to get across to you that a build off boat is a ski that is of high class and built for this reason.

Entering a boat with stock paint is just out of the question. It would make you look moronic. It's just a kawi with some simple mods. Thats cool, so is my SJ. I understand it has more then DJs....but DJ has alot more CUSTOM work done.

I personally thought that SFLs, Party Boys, or Jen's ski didnt belong in the build off last year. SFL and PBs were regular SJs with the usual stuff, and Jen's was bought as it(well the motor was pretty cool).

Point being....dont enter a 99% stock boat with little to no custom to it. It's like buying a Honda Gold Wing, putting some flashing LEDs and a pipe on it and sticking it in the Biker Build off where people have slaved and built things from sratch or whatever.

PS. SFL, is nothing like he is online. He's a pretty cool guy that .....the majority likes. The more you try to mess with him online and act like a hardass with "lets see you do it in person" comments. The more he'll ******** with ya:haha:
