Sometimes SJ won't turn over

I have noticed lately that on my 98 SJ from time to time if I go to start it thre is nothing there when I hit the start buttom. I hit it agin and it turns over fine. My battery is fully charged and the connections are clean and tight. It has an Advent and I TBM flywheel.

Are you sure that ALL the connections are clean and tight? Including the ones on the starter? I had the same problem and it turned out to be the positive lead on the starter.

When you hit the start button do you hear the solenoid in the ebox clicking? If not then you might have either a dirty start switch or a failing solenoid. If you hear it clicking then you might have a bad solenoid or a failing starter. CHeck the main ground lead that bolts to the back of the starter. If you want to further troubleshoot this you can open the ebox and use a test light on the starter side of the solenoid to see if you are getting voltage or not toward the starter. If you are then it is most likely a starter that needs rebuilding or replacing.
