Someone with carbon skills want a small side project?

Looking to have a "shelf" made for the side of my ski to hold a battery. I have a small lightweight WPS battery and I have found the perfect place to mount it, but need a way to do it. Basically something I can epoxy to the side of the hull and then use a Velcro strap to hold it to... If someone is willing to make me one, id pay you for time/materials. Pm me. Thanks!

Where is the battery located now? Phillip Clemmons had his battery in his KDX set in with velcro straps so he could swap them really quick.

Ive always used the Velcro strap, but where I want to put it, I need a shelf made. You will see what I mean this weekend.

Making a finished carbon part is probably a lot more time consuming than you may realize. Even at $10/hr, you coukd face a pretty solid chunk of change for a high quality part. Composites work is more a $50/hr gig.

I could tell you some methods to make something quick and easy if you plan to turf it. Even the easy methods can take a lot of time however.

I got it made. I put @Sanoman up for a night at hartwell races and he swapped me my carbon shelf.

I have a mold that fits a deka etx-9 size battery with a Velcro channel that Donnie was thinking about. I thought I saw a battery shelf of some sorts hidden under the exhaust on your ski.

I just had my battery Velcro strapped under he exhaust at sff. I haven't installed my shelf yet!
